Ressie's chopstick soup

4cups cabbage chopped
minced garlic one T
one T ground ginger
one pkg mushrooms  chopped
3 scallions chopped
canned water chestnuts sliced
1/2 cup red peppers julienned
6 cup vegetable broth
2 cup snow peas
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1Tbst Chinese five spice

put all ingredients in soup pot cover and bring to boil over high heat reduce heat to low and simmer,partly covered,for about 20 min.
